Why We Built This

BeyondClass was born from a frustration every KL parent knows: finding the right enrichment class for your child shouldn't require hours of WhatsApp chasing, Instagram scrolling, and word-of-mouth guesswork. As parents ourselves, we spent countless evenings comparing swim schools, coding centres, and art studios — only to realise that the information was scattered, outdated, and often unreliable.

"I kept a spreadsheet of 40+ enrichment providers across KL," says Thomas, BeyondClass founder. "Phone numbers, pricing, locations, age groups — all manually collected from Instagram bios and WhatsApp conversations. I thought: if I'm doing this, thousands of other parents are too. There has to be a better way."

That realisation became BeyondClass — a platform where parents can discover, compare, and book verified enrichment classes in minutes instead of weeks.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: make it effortless for every family in Kuala Lumpur to find enrichment activities that genuinely fit their child's interests, schedule, and budget. We believe every child deserves access to quality enrichment — and every parent deserves transparent information to make confident choices.

We're building the infrastructure that connects Malaysia's best enrichment providers with the families who need them. No guesswork. No hidden fees. No uncertainty about quality.

How We Verify Providers

Every provider on BeyondClass goes through our four-step verification process before they can list. No exceptions.

1. Business Registration Check

We verify that the provider is a legitimately registered business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). This confirms they're operating legally, have proper business insurance where applicable, and can be held accountable.

2. Instructor Qualification Review

We check that instructors hold relevant qualifications for their discipline — certified swim coaches (not just strong swimmers), accredited music teachers, trained coding educators. We verify certificates directly where possible.

3. Facility & Safety Assessment

We assess the physical environment — equipment condition, cleanliness, safety measures, appropriate instructor-to-student ratios, and emergency procedures. For swimming, we check pool safety standards and lifeguard presence.

4. Ongoing Quality Monitoring

Verification isn't a one-time event. We continuously monitor parent feedback, review attendance patterns, and conduct periodic re-assessments. Providers who fall below our standards are removed from the platform.

Thomas is a KL-based entrepreneur and parent who previously built technology products in financial services. After spending years navigating KL's fragmented enrichment landscape for his own children, he founded BeyondClass to solve the discovery and trust problem for every family in the city.
